The Creature

By: Renukah Hunter

I believe that there is a creature inside each and every one of us. This creature is tiny, might possibly have wings and is extremely explosive. The only things which are keeping this little guy from going ape-shit and flooding your mind with fireworks is fear, doubt, double guessing and regret. Oh, and did I mention his name is Creativity?

He runs wild once the lights are off and the eyes are closed for sleep. With one single curl of the first finger you are invited to be together again.

The rat wheel has long been torched at this point, and it’s for the sea of un-known we go! Blazes of colour warm our skin as they zoom past our eyes as we zig- zag through the fields of future hopes; Red! Orange! Purple, oh my!

We don’t stop running even when we jump off the unexpected cliff of anticipation and soar into the metallic blue sky. Smiles grow wider with the knowing of being in un-control. You see, we have the gift of Feel, not sight. The ability to Feel all around us and within us. To Feel what is going on between us. To Feel that we are not two, but one. It is this very same feeling which allows us to fall with grace and a boisterous splash into the ocean of mercy. Magic shimmers around as treasures of gratitude and delight gleam into our souls.

Swimming up to the playground of possibilities, we are free to be that true inner child within. Oh yes, even the creature has an inner child who loves to explore the infinite with fervor.

Instead of speaking, we use sound to introduce ourselves to the world. Woah! Wow! Wha!?! It’s as though the radio of the mind has been hit with a splash of WD-40.

We are excited to the point of being classified as unstable and ever changing. Taking great responsibility in being sensitive to the touch and quick with the tongue, we jump through the fire hoops of past thoughts and desires.

And though there can be assumed chaos in our own reality, we sit like monks atop the moss laden lotus beds. Focusing on being, nothing but being the best of Who we are at the highest of high mountains of capability

We are the ones who do things differently. With a stripe here and a splash over there, We are the ones who don’t just dream the dream, we Live the dream.
